We Respect Your Privacy & Information

If you’re a parent searching for behavioural therapy for adolescents, or an adolescent who’s just tired of feeling stuck, you’re in the right place. Every session at Marsden Therapy starts with the adolescent’s actual life – not a generic script.

Adolescence throws a lot at kids at once: exam pressure, friendship drama, changing family dynamics, and the constant pull of phones and social media. Our behavioural therapy for adolescents is built around understanding how thoughts, emotions and behaviours connect, so adolescents can build habits that genuinely stick – at school, at home, and everywhere in between.

We work with the adolescent in front of us, not a case file. From managing meltdowns before an exam to rebuilding a friendship that’s gone sideways, our psychologists guide young people toward a calmer, more confident everyday life.

Behavioural Therapy

Behavioural therapy focuses on understanding and improving the actions, emotions, and thought patterns that shape an adolescent’s daily life. Instead of just talking about problems, our therapists work with adolescents to build practical skills – for the classroom, the friendship group, and the family home – at their own pace.

We tailor every plan to where the adolescent actually is: Year 7 nerves are different to Year 12 exam pressure, and a 13-year-old’s social anxiety looks different to a 17-year-old’s. That’s the starting point for every session.

ADHD

Trouble focusing, forgetting homework, and impulsive choices at school and home.

Autism Spectrum

Support for social communication, sensory overload, and everyday independence skills.

Anxiety

Social anxiety, exam stress, and worry that won't switch off between classes.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Intrusive thoughts and compulsive routines eating into study time and sleep.

Depression

Persistent low mood, withdrawal from friends, and motivation that's vanished.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Difficulties that linger after bullying, an accident, or a family crisis.
